Apple fans hoping for a new iPad model this year may be disappointed. The famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo at TF International Securities understands that the firm at the apple will not launch a new tablet in the next 9 to 12 months. On the other hand, after the release of a new iPad mini, Apple could finally enter the market of folding screen mobile devices currently dominated by Samsung. Not with a foldable iPhone, but with an iPad featuring “an all-new folding design” due to arrive in 2024, he announces in a series of tweets.
According to his information, this future tablet with a folding screen should incorporate a carbon fiber crutch. This material has the advantage of making it lighter and more durable, explains the specialist, who identifies a new partner for the manufacture of this support: the Taiwanese company Anjie Technology.
Pending these new models which should boost sales of iPads, and other devices such as a VR/AR headset, Ming-Chi Kuo expects a 10 to 15% drop in shipments iPad for 2023 compared to the previous year.
