–
On the night of 1is on March 2, 2021, Nadine, a nursing assistant assigned to the emergency department of the Pasteur 2 hospital in Nice was injured by a bullet from a pen-pistol.
The FO-SPS Federation alerted by the Secretary of the FO union to this dramatic situation, wishes to give its full support to all the staff of the establishment and in particular emergency personnel, with a special thought for Nadine.
Beyond the extremely serious aspect of this situation, it is symptomatic of an upsurge of violent events experienced on a daily basis by hospital staff.
In this particular moment, the FO-SPS Federation wishes to remind the entire population that hospital workers are at the services of others, particularly devoted in the exercise of their public service missions. In fact, it is unacceptable and unbearable that they find themselves confronted more and more frequently with situations of violence.
The FO-SPS Federation reaffirms the need to do everything possible to protect them by all appropriate means.
In this particularly difficult and trying time, the FO-SPS Federation sends its most moved thoughts and its most sincere wishes for a speedy recovery to Nadine.
