According to the Sentinelles network, influenza cases increased sharply last week in France with an incidence rate of 190 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (cases seen in general practice consultations).

For the moment, the regions most affected by the flu are the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region (403 cases per 100,000 inhabitants), Île-de-France (249) and Nouvelle-Aquitaine (176) . The Great East is still relatively spared with an average of 92 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

Le Grand Est still concerned by gastronomy

In Alsace, there is more activity in the Haut-Rhin than in the north of the region. Last week, among the 160 samples tested, 96 (60.0%) were positive for an influenza virus, 54 type A viruses and 42 type B viruses. Note that among people with influenza-like illness, 61% n ” saw no healthcare professional, 28% consulted a general practitioner, 5% a pharmacist, 2% went to the emergency room.

The gastroenteritis epidemic is still very present in mainland France, even though the incidence rates are starting to drop, 215 cases per 100,000 inhabitants last week compared to 253 the previous week. The Grand Est remains slightly above this incidence, with 263 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
