The Florida lottery awards two people $1 million for scratch cards

The Florida Lottery continues to reward winners with Scratch Cards. This Thursday a woman won a million dollars and on Wednesday a man was the lucky one.

“Today, the Florida Lottery (Lottery) announces that Kathryn Faver, 58, of Santa Rosa Beach, won a million dollar prize from the 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at the Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee,” it reported in a press release.

Faver opted to receive his winnings as a one-time payment of $820,000.

The lucky lady purchased her winning ticket at Cumberland Farms located at 7986 Highway 98 East in Destin. The retailer will receive an additional $2,000 commission for the sale of the winning Scratch ticket.

“The $50 game, 500X THE CASH, features a $25 million jackpot, the largest ever offered in a Florida Scratch-Off game, and the best odds for becoming an instant millionaire! The game’s overall odds of winning are 1 out of 4.50,” said the aforementioned source.

For his part, Juan Estrada, 52, of Miami Beach, won a million-dollar prize from GOLD RUSH LIMITED scratch card game on Wednesday at the lottery district office in Miami.

Estrada also opted to receive his winnings as a $795,000 lump sum payment.

Winner purchased ticket at Collins Food Market, located at 7335 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. The retailer will receive an additional $2,000 commission for the sale of the winning Scratch ticket.

“The $20 Scratch Card Game, GOLD RUSH LIMITED, launched in September 2021 and offers 32 $5 million main prizes and 100 $1 million prizes! Plus, this ticket is packed with over 33,000 $1,000 prizes to $100,000! The overall odds of winning the game are 1 in 2.65″.
