The suspicion was reported on the fact of committing a public outrage over the state flag of Ukraine (part 1 of article 338 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Law enforcers found that a native of the city of Kherson grabbed the edge of the flag fabric and hung on it, in such a way that the flag fabric suffered significant damage and was torn in half, and the flagpole was broken.
The police have identified the attacker.
“Now the man has been informed of the suspicion and the issue of choosing a preventive measure is being decided. The sanction of the article provides for a fine from one thousand to four thousand non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens or arrest for up to six months or imprisonment for up to three years,” the statement says. …
