The shadow is approaching, but the real estate market in Spain still resists. During the first half of the year, the sale of houses grew by 23.1% compared to the same period of the previous year, up to the accumulation of 330,997 transactions, as collected by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
some new figures signed mortgages and transactions that have also remained solid and at their particular records from the previous August crisis.
In this context, on the occasion of Halloween, Huspythe proptech, which helps in the sale of housing, carried out a survey to detect the main fears that the Spaniards have to face when buying a property in our country.
And no, external factors are not included, such as the European Central Bank’s upward path with rates or the recession that the European Union seems to be approaching and perhaps Spain with it.
- Mortgage management with the bank.
The management of the mortgage, with the procedures that this entails, occupies the first place among the problems that most buyers and potential buyers fear, with 53.9% of respondents ranking it as their greatest fear.
- The paperwork for obtaining accommodation.
To get a house, it is necessary to present several documents that ensure that the buyer has the necessary conditions to obtain it. Due to the burden it entails and the difficulties in presenting everything in time, this matter occupies the second place in the ranking with 47%.
- Not finding the house that suits your needs.
Faced with a saturated market, it is very difficult to find the residence that meets the needs and demands. The third place (42.6%) is therefore occupied by the fear of not discovering the truly ideal house for buyers, both in terms of location and room preferences, even if adequate to their purchasing power.
- The procedures for signing the deed.
The deed is a crucial moment in acquiring a residence. Fear of not filling out these papers correctly, coupled with nerves from feeling like one of the last steps before having a home, makes deed-related practices rank fourth in the survey, reaching 33%.
- Wasting time looking for a home.
In fifth position, 9.6% of respondents fear wasting time looking for accommodation, a difficult and costly task given the difficulty of ensuring that the residence has the filters required by every buyer.
The Huspy survey results also revealed some of the other factors that worry homebuyers, such as “key delivery time”, chosen by only 3.5% of respondents as the most worrying situation, fear in the process.
“At Huspy we are aware of the needs and demands of the market. This is why we are working to make a real difference in improving the buying process for everyone, taking care to solve all these issues that affect current or future buyers.David Chamas explained, General Manager of Huspy Spain.
