The Milan guard was in bad shape waiting for the match against Torino. In the last round, they lost 1-0 to city rivals Inter, and with that defeat, Pioli’s team was already on a five-match winless streak.

Not so long ago, in the middle of January, Torino quite surprised Milan at the San Siro, as they won with a man advantage thanks to Michel Adopo’s goal and at the same time advanced to the Italian Cup.

So, Rafael Lea’s team not only wanted to put an end to their poor form, but they also wanted to hit back at the Torino team – it finally worked out, as Milan won the match 1-0 with Olivier Giroud’s goal in the 62nd minute.

As for the standings, thanks to the success, Milan moved up to 3rd place, but Roma and Lazio can also overtake them with a success. Torino is in 7th place.
