The first win for the newly promoted RTV Basel

Amazingly, RTV Basel is celebrating its first win in the NLA since being promoted this year. Coach Thomas Haegeli’s team won away against Scout Winterthur 26:24.

The game was evenly matched from A to Z, and neither team could break away with more than two goals. Elia Meister scored the last goal to make it 26:24 with 16 seconds left. Scout Tim Rellstab was the most successful person in the game with eight goals.

The host also won the second game on Sunday; BSV Bern beat Suhr Aarau 33:31. The Bernese were behind only three times, most recently at 11:12 (21st). While BSV goalkeeper Mathieu Seravalli impressed with 14 saves, Felix Aellen (8) and Nico Eggimann (7) were responsible for almost half of the visitors’ goals. Nikos Sarlos was successful eleven times for Suhr Aarau.
