The first vaccines were administered at the Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat hospital

The result of a collaboration between the Monts et Barrages intercommunal hospital center and the future territorial professional health community, it is one of the department’s centers open to vaccinate priority health personnel, with people over 75 years.

Reinforcements for next week

Isabelle Deblaere Bastos, liberal doctor in Saint-Léonard, and Joël Carrer, liberal nurse of the canton of Eymoutiers, vaccinated 11 health professionals of the Monts et Barrages territory (doctors, nurses, dentist, firefighter).

“The departmental community wants to facilitate and support an approach that must accelerate, especially in proximity as here in Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat,” said Jean-Claude Leblois on Tuesday. Indeed, after requesting the health authorities and in consultation with the ARS, the department of Haute-Vienne has decided to mobilize its health personnel to participate in the vaccination campaign against Covid-19.

In consultation with the ARS and the Limoges University Hospital, the Departmental Council will mobilize from next Monday a team, made up of a doctor and two nurses, assigned daily to the CHU vaccination center. These additional human resources will make it possible to support the vaccination objectives, in particular for professionals in home help services who work with the elderly.
