Rapper Boatman’s trial for illegal filming and distribution is held.

On the 16th, the Seoul Western District Court will hold the first trial for violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes by Boatmen (filming using cameras, etc., distribution, etc.).

The boatman is accused of illegally filming the body of Mr. A, who was dating at the time, in July 2018 and distributing it in a KakaoTalk group room with about 20 acquaintances.

The incident became known through the revelation of Mr. A in May of last year, and afterwards, the boatman said, “I am sorry for causing controversy. I will apologize and reflect on my mistakes.”

The boatman personally went to the police station for investigation, and the Mapo Police Station sent him to the prosecution in September of last year on charges of violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes. Prosecutors indicted the boatman without detention in December of last year.
