Rostock – On the 4th matchday of the still young third division season, the FC Hansa Rostock already under pressure. The team that was relegated from the 2. Bundesliga is currently in a direct relegation spot. One striker new, one striker gone
During the week, Rostock announced a new signing. The 25-year-old attacker is moving from SV Wehen Wiesbaden Antonio Jonjic to the Baltic Sea. In his youth he played for the TSG Hoffenheim and the 1. FC KaiserslauternSo far he has played 47 second division and 33 third division matches, scoring eleven goals during this time.
The FCH has separated from Sveinn Gudjohnsen. The Icelander is moving to Norwegian first division club Sarpsborg 08 FF. Both clubs have agreed to keep the transfer and transfer terms confidential. Gudjohnsen never got beyond the role of reserve in Rostock. The Icelander only managed one goal for the Baltic Sea city last season.
Wehlend appointed boss
Two days after FC Hansa Rostock and former CEO Robert Marien terminated the current contract, became interim boss Jürgen Wehlend now Chairman of the Board of FC Hansa Rostock appointed.
The new board of FC Hansa consists of Wehlend (chairman) and the current members Günter Fett (Stadium and infrastructure) and Michael Meierr (youth and club activities) and the new board Roman Velke (Finance and Organization). Velke will also be the first deputy chairman of the board. The board will begin its work in this configuration on September 1st. In the press release from Rostock, the chairman of the supervisory board Reiner Lemmer quoted as follows: “We are in a difficult phase in which Jürgen has already taken on responsibility in recent months. We now have clarity at all levels and a view of the future for FC Hansa. We have therefore found a solution with everyone involved so that the newly formed board can start its work as quickly as possible. I would like to expressly thank everyone involved who supported and supported this step in the interests of FC Hansa.”
