The fans of VfL Bochum can mark their calendars on August 14, 2021. Because after eleven years of abstinence, the Bochum team will play a game in the 1st Bundesliga again. On Saturdays at 3:30 p.m., Thomas Reis’ team will be guests at VfL Wolfsburg. That is the result of the exact timings of the first six game days, which the German Football League (DFL) published on Wednesday.
The first home game on Castroper Straße will also take place on Saturday, exactly one week later, on August 21. The opponent is then 1. FSV Mainz 05. On September 18, the Bochum team will be visiting champions FC Bayern Munich. In the first few weeks, however, VfL is also challenged twice on Sunday: against Hertha BSC (September 12, 5:30 p.m.) and VfB Stuttgart (September 26, 3:30 p.m.).

Borussia Dortmund, on the other hand, will play the top game on Saturday evening on the first matchday. At 6.30 p.m. Eintracht Frankfurt will make a guest appearance in Signal Iduna Park. The first away game will take place on August 21 (3:30 p.m.) at SC Freiburg. The third matchday against TSG Hoffenheim will be under floodlights on Friday evening (August 27, 8:30 p.m.).
