Thailand immediately got a chance in the fifth minute through Phanthamit Praphanth’s kick. However, Laos goalkeeper, Phounix Xayyasone, swiftly made a save.

Despite the pressure from the Thai players, Laos managed to take the lead in the seventh minute. Peter Phanthavong’s not-too-hard kick failed to be saved by the Thai goalkeeper, Narongsak Naengwongsa.

In the 16th minute, the Laos defender made a mistake which gave Thailand a chance to equalize the score. However, Thanawut Phochai failed to take advantage of the opportunity well after his shot bounced high.

Left behind, the Thai players continued to play attacking. However, the Laos players swiftly managed to show a good defense to stop the opposing team from scoring an equalizer.

In the 36th minute, Chanapach Buaphan’s header still failed to bring Thailand level. His kick made the ball still soar.

Until the 44th minute, Thailand is still difficult to penetrate the dense defense of Laos. As a result, Laos still leads 1-0 over Thailand.
