The first ministerial visit to his land this past Friday morning, with the former deputy for the 2nd Haute-Savoie constituency, Antoine Armand.
A quick visit, before the afternoon ministerial conference, by the new Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry to the school and office supplies manufacturer Maped in Argonay, in the Annecy metropolitan area.
Maped is a family business founded in 1947 which today has become an international group of 1,800 employees worldwide, including 220 in Haute-Savoie.
Antoine Armand spoke to a certain number of these colleagues. In particular, it was a question of wages, purchasing power, ecological movement, circular economy, high cost and scarcity of land in the Haute-Savoie region.

Labor costs are too high
three-quarters of MAPED’s industrial production is mostly in China or Mexico. The CEO of the group, Romain Lacroix, questioned the minister about the cost of labor, which is too high in France to be able to restore part of their activity.
