Dr. Abdul Karim al-Iraqi, director of the Al-Ahrar Teaching Hospital in Zagazig in Sharqia, said that the hospital’s roads have not been diverted to accommodate and treat people with the new Corona virus due to the high numbers, as is being raised on social media.
The hospital director explained, in special statements, that the circulating images of a new isolation department have been allocated to receive and isolate virus-infected cases, at the headquarters of the floor dedicated to the Liver Treatment Center, as it accommodates 50 cases between intensive care and regular care.
The director of Al-Ahrar Hospital stressed that the hospital includes more than 100 cases infected with the virus, but it is still performing its role to receive, sort and treat the infected cases.
A number of social networking site “Facebook” users circulated a picture of patients on neighboring beds, claiming that they were infected with the emerging corona virus, who were accommodated on the roads of Al-Ahrar Hospital after the high numbers inside the hospital, which was explained by the hospital director.
