The first Nothing wireless earbuds to be announced on July 27

Tech startup Nothing will announce its first pair of true wireless earbuds, Nothing Ear (1), the company’s founder, on July 27 at 9:00 a.m. ET Carl Pei announced this today. The launch happened about a month later than the launch window in June Nothing previously announced, according to Pei tweeted that the company delayed its start because it had “some things to do”. Carl Pei is best known as the co-founder of OnePlus, a company he parting from last year.

Details on Nothing Ear (1) are thin, but the company has scoffed at some details about it in recent months. We knew they would have a “sleek aesthetic” transparent material in their construction and that they are designed in collaboration with Teenage Engineering. However, when it comes to the technical data of the earphones, it’s nothing short of revealing.

Wireless earbuds are the first product category that there are no plans to tackle, but Carl Pei has talked about expanding into more areas over time. In one (n Interview with Edge In January, Pei said the company finally hopes to build an entire ecosystem of interconnected devices. “The ultimate vision of seamlessly connecting everything can only happen when you have multiple product categories,” says Pei.
