The first Latvian micro-house sold on the Internet will travel to Germany – House

The Covid-19 pandemic has created conditions that have facilitated online shopping, and interest in buying houses online has grown significantly this year, says Raimod Gusarev, head of Manta North. The buyer of the houses sold on the Internet had not seen them in person and bought them online for 97,000 euros, including VAT. The fully equipped house includes two bedrooms, a kitchen and its equipment, a bathroom with amenities, built-in electricity and heating system.

It is planned that the building will arrive in Germany in the near future and its owner will be able to move into the house a few hours after receiving it.

Prefabricated and fully completed houses can be moved and interconnected. As a long-term investment, each building is relatively quick to install and immediately available for living, economically advantageous and environmentally friendly. Manta North buildings use the highest quality industrially made multi-layer solid wood panels (CLT), which are formed by boards glued perpendicular to the plane during the production process, ensuring a special strength and stability of the panel. CLT is a sustainable, cost-effective and aesthetically pleasing material. Lightly oiled, it retains the natural look of the wood, giving it a clean and contemporary character.

The advantage of prefabricated houses is the opportunity to look at their layout, interior and technical solutions in a timely manner, and one can be sure that every element included in it has been tested and will work.

“2020. year has created a significant turning point for business. We are happy to meet customers in person, but we appreciate that during the pandemic we can continue production processes and sell homes online. Thanks to modern technologies, a person can get acquainted with the house down to the smallest details, ”says Gusarevs. “There is also a growing trend in the world to choose houses from ecological and environmentally friendly materials. Following the demand, Manta North plans to significantly expand the export market of modular houses next year. ”

“Manta North” production plant is located in 2500 m2 wide, modern premises, Jelgava Business Park, which is one of the largest reconstructed industrial parks in Latvia and has developed rapidly over the last few years, creating a production-friendly environment, bringing together progressive and innovative companies. During its two years of operation, Manta North has established a stable network of distributors and sellers in Europe, and this year’s sales have exceeded one million euros. Next year, taking into account customer demand and forecasts of international partners, it is planned to double production.

“Manta North” factory employs more than 20 professional, highly qualified carpenters and technologists, most of whom are local residents from Jelgava district. The company manufactures homes from modern high-performance materials and is valued by a professional workforce that understands business needs and is able to create products that meet modern construction standards.

In total, in 2020, the company produced almost 20 homes for export to the Netherlands, Denmark, Portugal, Iceland and other countries.
