The First Lady makes a surprise and noticed appearance at the Angloulême Francophone Film Festival!

Tuesday August 24 marked the first day of the Film Festival held in Angoulême (Charente). The 14th edition of this event (will take place from August 24 to 29 with ten films in competition, editor’s note) which will honor Algerian cinema, was marked in particular by the arrival of a surprise guest in the person of a Brigitte Macron … tanned?

She once again flaunted her elegance with a look that consisted of a white blazer made up of gold buttons and a timeless white shirt. All paired with wedge sneakers from the French brand No Name, dark blue jeans and a doctor bag. After going to the streets of the city, the First Lady attended the debate on endangered children in the court of the Angoumois city. This debate follows the screening of the film CE2 by Jacques Doillon whose main subject concerns bullying at school. Afterwards, she had lunch with the director and his daughter Lina. She posed with the very famous Dominique Besnehard.

Several films in competition

For the first time in Europe, the film Eiffel by Martin Bourboulon screened at the end of the opening ceremony at the Théâtre d’Angoulême and at the CGR. In the cast, the actors Romain Duris and Emma Mackey. In total, ten films are in the running, including Rose, by Aurélie Saada, A story of love and desire by Leyla Bouzid, or even Black Box by Yann Gozlan for the Valois d’Or and submitted to a jury made up of Nicole Garcia, the president. She will be surrounded by other personalities such as Antonin Baudry, Leïla Kaddour-Boudadi, Reda Kateb, Catherine Leterrier, Oxmo Puccino, Marie NDiaye, Philippe Van Leeuw and Noémie Schmidt. The president of the student jury is called Anne Parillaud.

And last year is Ibrahim of Samir Guesmi who had been crowned.
