How can you not want to believe it? Imagine, we are in 2027, just six years away. You emerge from your sleep, after a night spent in a five-star hotel room, and you take a look out the window: the splendor of the Earth is offered to you, in the middle of the black vastness of the cosmos. This futuristic vision is the one promised by the American company Orbital Assembly Corporation (AOC).
While the world is still struggling to get out of the coronavirus pandemic, which is slowing the tourism industry, the Californian start-up announces nothing less than the opening of the first “space hotel”, in orbit around of the earth. In an interview with CNN, the leader of the start-up, the former pilot John Blincow, indicates that the construction should begin in 2026, before the organization of the first stays in 2027. In other words tomorrow.
