Initially, customers will have a Pro Performance version with a 77 kWh battery and 150 kW (204 hp) engine power, providing up to 520 km (WLTP cycle) with a single charge.
All “ID.4” cars will be delivered to customers in Latvia with the latest software version, which will provide access to remote updates, as well as with an extended five-year warranty, a heat pump for more efficient energy consumption in cold weather and a charging cable for household sockets. The starting price of the basic version of “ID.4” will be below 40,000 euros with VAT.
Over time, the ID.4 Pure version with a 52 kWh battery and the all-wheel drive model, the ID.4 GTX, will be added to the range this year. Later, two more power variants will be available – 109 kW (148 hp) and 125 kW (170 hp). The battery is located under the passenger compartment, ensuring a low center of gravity and a balanced axle load distribution.
The terrain has a clearance of 16 centimeters. “ID.4”, like other members of the “ID” family, is currently available with rear-wheel drive. This year, the sports model “ID.4 GTX” with an all-wheel drive system will also be available.
All “ID.4” models are equipped with a CCS charging socket for fast direct current (DC) charging. The standard DC charging speed for a 52 kWh battery is 50 kW (can be increased up to 100 kW), while the 77 kWh battery provides a charging speed of up to 125 kW, so when driving with DC charging, the driving distance of 320 km can be increased in just 30 minutes.
Depending on the position of the rear seat backrests, the luggage compartment has a capacity of 543 to 1575 liters. Upon request, VW will equip all “ID.4” models with a trailer hitch with a towing capacity of up to one tonne.
The innovative augmented reality display blends with reality – for example, the navigation system’s turn arrows appear in the driver’s field of vision about 10 meters in front of the car.
“ID.4” models in Latvia will receive new features and in-depth technical updates via the Internet. Customer cars will always be provided with the latest digital advances thanks to over-the-air updates.
