The first film of the Landvolk video campaign is released today

“Die Aushilfschefs” is the name of the first clip for which Heiko Bothe and Lennart Wilkening swapped roles for a day: Farmer Bothe managed the Sparkasse branch in Hagenburg. Their actual boss, Wilkening, helped with the goji berry harvest.

The feedback from family members and relatives to the first glimpses of the film was very positive, says Wilkening. “The storyline with the tractor was particularly well received,” he says. He also had a lot of fun shooting the video: “Especially driving the tractor through the area.”

Showing responsibility, confronting prejudices

Bothe has already stood in front of the camera a few times. “But it was a new experience again, because I’ve never opened a safe like this, that was really exciting,” he reports. He has also learned from his day as a bank advisor – since filming he has only pulled his bank statements online. “And to sit in Lennart’s executive chair and be the head of the Sparkasse – that wasn’t bad,” says Bothe with a broad grin.

With the video series, the local farmers and their partners want to draw attention to their special role and responsibility. In doing so, prejudices should also be dispelled. “We want to show the real agriculture and how it works”, says Achim Pohl, chairman of the Schaumburger Landvolks. And so the work on the farm and in the field is now online.

The video series was designed and implemented by the Schaumburger Nachrichten. “The project was an exciting challenge for us too,” says SN managing director Marc Fügmann.
