The trailer was first shown at the film’s fan event held at LA Live, where Diesel said that Fast X will be a return to the franchise’s roots, revealing to fans that the new film will give them what they’ve been asking for for a long time: “We we’ve always heard you. You wanted to get back to the streets of Los Angeles. You wanted to get back to racing. You wanted to get back to the cars that made this franchise what it is,” Diesel told the packed house. “The support you’ve given us has allowed us to be your family. You truly are the best fans any movie franchise could ever dream of,” Diesel added.

Fans around the world are squealing with joy at the nearly four-minute long trailer, which is longer than most songs these days. That’s because after nine movies, there’s a lot to show – Vin Diesel has raised a family through many missions and enemy threats, but now an adversary from the past is back for revenge. And he’s coming for everything Vin Diesel holds dear. Who is this enemy? Jason Momoa, aka Dante, is their latest adversary, and it turns out that the villain has ties to 2011’s Fast Five. He’s spent the last 12 years plotting his revenge, and in the quick trailer he vows revenge on Dominic’s family for stealing his family and his future.
Don’t worry – not all of the trailer is grim. The “Fast X” trailer also offers a glimpse of some of the parties, including a family get-together at the beginning of the video. But again and again, Dom will encourage his family to stay safe – he will protect them from the evil forces of the world.
The Fast X trailer makes it clear that this installment, like all of the franchise, will be about family as Dom reflects on his fear of losing someone he loves. The patriarch of the Toretto family has a lot to lose. But this time, the story will be about his young son, Brian, who is kidnapped when the motorcycle-riding Dante (Jason Momoa) comes to town. Everything will change when Dom discovers that his own eight-year-old son is the ultimate target of Dante’s revenge.
We already reported that Diesel told “Variety” magazine on the red carpet that Robert Downey Jr. is his dream candidate for the next and supposedly last part of the franchise (you never know with Hollywood!). But what would Downey Jr. play? “Without saying too much about what’s going to happen in the future, there’s a character who’s the opposite of Dom, who’s promoting artificial intelligence, who has a future with driverless cars,” Diesel said. “There is someone who believes that this is the future, and that is in direct conflict with Toretto’s mentality.” Read more about it in this article!
