Arie Verhorst, chairman of LTO Noord Zuid-Holland, is also anything but happy with this sudden decision by the province. ‘They simply brought the farmers from the Meijegraslanden together and said that it is ‘the end for the farmers’ in that area’, he says. ‘If you put it like that all at once, without clear substantiation, then you have a problem.’
