The road “Saulesvija” is designed as a recording of face-to-face moments and videos, where in less than an hour in each municipality the special Festive Gazette together with an attractive greeting traveler will give thanks and gifts to the organizers of the XII Latvian School Youth Song and Dance Festival. , made video greetings and video performances, participated in filming videos. Municipalities will welcome the holiday car, gathered in small groups within their team and in compliance with all epidemiological regulations set by the country, some municipalities have prepared special surprises and thanks to students and team leaders for this day and class.
During the event, the Holiday Car will arrive in each of the 43 municipalities of Latvia from July 12 to July 29. As Vasiljeva explains, the road of “Saulesvija” is divided into several rays – the first will drive through Kurzeme from July 12 to July 14 (July 12 – Kuldiga, Jurkalne, Ventspils; July 13 – Liepaja, Grobina, Saldus; July 14 – Talsi, Roja, Engure, Tukums, Kandava, Dobele), on July 15 and 16 will travel through Zemgale and Latgale regions (July 15 – Jelgava, Eleja, Ozolnieki, Bauska, Iecava, Salaspils, July 16 – Skriveri, Aizkraukle, Plavinas, Jekabpils, Livani) . From July 19 to 22, the holiday car will go to Latgale, Sēlija and Vidzeme counties (July 19 – Preili, Ilūkste, Slutišķi, Daugavpils, July 20 – Dagda, Krāslava, Rēzekne, Lūznava, July 21 – Ludza, Balvi, Alūksne). From July 22 to July 26 – in Vidzeme (July 22 – Madona, Gulbene, Smiltene, July 23 – Valka, Strenči, Valmiera, Burtnieki, Mazsalaca, Limbaži, July 26 – Priekuli, Cesis, Sigulda, Inčukalns, Krimulda, Sēja, Saulkrasti). The “Saulesvijas” team – director Inga Krišāne, artist Rūdolfs Baltiņš, event directors Edīte Siļķēna, Inga Krišāne and Kristaps Gustavs Kiršteins, as well as coordinators of all municipalities, with whom unique events have been created for each municipality.
As Vasiljeva reminds, the aim of the festive concepts is to respectfully complete the Festive process without compromising the start of the full-time education process on September 1: it is planned that the joint program consists of 15 different events in choir singing, vocal music, instrumental music, dance, visual and visual plastic arts, folklore. Events are planned in municipalities, as close as possible to the place of residence, outdoors. The number of participants in any celebration is from 1 to the number allowed in the country at that time, there is no large gathering, no centralized rehearsals and a long rehearsal process is planned. Events will be recorded on video. All videos will be donated to the Museum of Literature and Music for the upcoming Song and Dance Festival exposition as a vivid testimony to the 21st century.
Currently, an active filming process of the contemporary dance masterpiece “Above the Earth” is taking place, but from July 21, an exhibition of the visual and visually plastic art program “Creating Decorate” will be on display at VEF Culture Palace.
