At the end of 2023, the first electric car in our country will be mass-produced by the German company Next.e.GO, which in Bulgaria operates jointly with the Advent company, which is owned by Kiril Domuschiev. This was stated by the owner of the company in a special interview for bTV.
The first sod of the plant near Lovech is expected to be in early July, and after operating at full speed in 2025 in Bulgaria, the company will produce 20,000 cars a year, Domuschiev added. He pointed out that this will not be a symbolic event, but the beginning of real construction
The last coordination procedures for the investment project, which was developed by German and Bulgarian architects, are currently underway. This will probably be the most modern plant for electric cars in Europe.
According to Domuschiev, the demand is expected to be quite high. The cars are expected to be sold throughout Europe
The last time cars of the Chinese company Great Wall were assembled near the city. Moskvich models have been produced in Lovech for more than 20 years.
The investment of Next.e.GO was announced last year by the current Prime Minister Kiril Petkov, who was then Minister of Economy.
