YERUSALEM, iNews.id – Injection of the first dose of vaccine Covid-19 artificial Pfizer Inc and BioNTech demonstrated an 85 percent efficacy rate. This was revealed through a study of Israeli health workers whose results were published in medical journals The Lancet, recently.
The study was carried out on more than 7,000 health care workers who were vaccinated at Sheba Medical Center, Israel. The research team saw an 85 percent reduction in Covid-19 symptoms between 15 and 28 days after they were given the vaccine.
Meanwhile, overall infections (including among asymptomatic patients) showed a decrease of up to 75 percent, the research report said.
In a written statement, Pfizer said it was studying data from Israel and other locations in the world to find out the extent of the impact of the vaccine made by the American company on Covid-19 arising from the new variant virus.
