During the week of April 26 to 30, the Curieux Festival will feature six videos broadcast online. These clips were made by academics and creators to make Science less austere and more understandable.
Fifteen artists and scientists gathered in duets for six videos of about fifteen minutes. This is the concept of “edition 0” of the Curious Festival, organized by two Strasbourg theater companies. “Va savoir”, specializing in raising awareness of scientific culture, and “Spirit gamer”, have come together to launch an entirely online festival, from Monday 26 to Friday 30 April.
With the Curieux Festival, the sciences do not take themselves too seriously. Interstellar asteroids, mathematical formulas, tsunamis… These subjects are approached through music, dance or even drawing. It is about learning “on a playful and poetic basis”, according to the organizers. This festival will be hosted by actor Sébastien Bizzotto and doctor in physics Marie-Charlotte Morin, used to popular science projects through art.
Each evening, a video will be broadcast on the Youtube channel and the page Facebook of the Curieux Festival, with the exception of Wednesday, where two creations will be published. A time of exchange of approximately with the artists and the scientists is envisaged. Questions may be asked in writing during and after the broadcast.
