“Today we celebrate academic achievements that never end. “You have the necessary tools to continue learning from our virtual courses and diplomas, as well as self-taught training,” said the Director General of the Virtual University and Digital Learning for Life (UDGPlus), the Dr. Carlos Iván Moreno Arellano, father of the graduates.
He said that virtuality has allowed people from different departments, groups, and even countries to study a degree in the University of Guadalajara (UdeG), so the current commitment is aimed at increasing the career options that are taught online so that important educational gaps are closed.
“Currently, only four out of ten people have access to education, therefore, the UdeG has transformed, opening different positions in a virtual mode that allows continuous learning, more independent and with tools that prepare them for university life. ” shared Moreno Arellano.
“This generation, so to speak, is the first to formally graduate from CUGDL, as we have accepted their positions at the center to transform our university’s virtual education,” said the Rector of CUGDL, Dr. José Alberto Castellanos Gutiérrez .
The bet, he said, is that every university campus will offer virtual courses, mostly designed to increase the number of people studying for degrees in rural areas and other states, without to travel to a face-to-face centre.
“I appreciate the opportunity and trust given to UdeG by the students from the United States (2), Ecuador (2) and Uruguay (1) who are part of this generation; With this we discovered, in fact, that virtual education is not for the future, but for today, and we have to bet on it with positions that help us find new academic spaces that will ‘ the registration of the course of the younger people,” said Castellanos Gutiérrez.
Both Moreno Arellano and Castellanos Gutiérrez agreed that the future of the UdeG starts with promoting virtual careers to expand the scope and reach of education, and then create future careers such as Cybersecurity , Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciences, and digital creativity. at CUGDL.
