The first comment of the “Food and Drug Administration” on “Dove” shampoo products after they were withdrawn from the US market due to their contamination with carcinogens

Al-Marsad Daily – SPA: The Food and Drug General Authority has confirmed that the Saudi market is free from dry shampoo products from brands (Dove, TRESemmé, TIGI, Nexxus, Suave), made by UnileverUnilever), – owner of the aforementioned brands – to withdraw certain batches of products from the American and Canadian markets, as they contain “benzene” impurities prohibited in the manufacture of cosmetic products.

The authority said it monitored Unilever’s voluntary recall for several batches of dry shampoo products manufactured prior to October 2021 AD in the form of a pressurized spray bottle of those products.

The Food and Drug Administration warns consumers not to use these products if they have obtained them from other sources.
