The first beta of MIUI 12.5 is expected for next month

Before the arrival of the MIUI 13, the next major release of the Android customization of Xiaomi, the Chinese giant will release the version MIUI 12.5. As we saw a few days ago about thestart of the update release, the Xiaomi development team had talked about the end of this year.

The first beta will arrive in January

In these hours, however, some new information gives us the opportunity to discover what should be there roadmap about the start of the beta program and the actual arrival of the new version. In accordance to declared, it seems that the stable version of MIUI 12.5 should arrive in China no earlier than the month of February 2021, while the first beta in January. Furthermore, according to the information shared on the net, it seems that at the moment there are no plans to open a phase of closed beta, at least by the end of this year.

The change in timing compared to what was officially declared by Xiaomi could depend on the days of vacation in China, an event that would have postponed the start of work by a few weeks. To date, unfortunately, we have no information about the news that will be integrated into the 12.5 version of MIUI: evaluating the previous versions, 11.5, 10.5 and 9.5, there shouldn’t be huge changes.

It is likely that the company will reveal some additional information during the launch of Xiaomi Mi 11 which, we remember, will be presented on December 28.
