The first fight of Daugavpils “Lokomotives” speedboaters in the first league of Poland on Saturday in Lodz with “KŽ Orzel” was moved there due to rain, the club reports on its website “Facebook”.
The first fight of Daugavpils “Lokomotives” speedboats was supposed to take place on Saturday in the Polish First League Championship, which was canceled later due to the coronavirus, but it was raining not only in Styria, interfering with the F-1 training runs, but also in Lodz. Therefore, the match with Lodz “KŽ Orzel” has been postponed.
“The competition in Łódź has been postponed,” Daugavpils Club reports on its Facebook page.
“Unfortunately, 40 minutes before the start of the race, it started to rain, after which it was decided to postpone the race,” the club said on the Facebook website.
“The competition with the Lodz Club will take place on Sunday, July 12, at 2 pm (Latvian time at 3 pm),” Daugavpils “Lokomotives” Facebook page informs about the time of the postponed match.
After that, the next match in the first league of Poland for Daugavpils is planned on July 18 on its track, meeting with the Gdansk “Zdunek Wybrzeže” team.
In the 2019 season, Lokomotīve finished sixth in the first league of Poland in a seven-team competition. A season earlier, Lokomotive entered the semi-finals of the Polish Second League, but in 2015 and 2016, the team triumphed in the Nice Championship. According to the rules, the winners of the “Nice” league get the right to start in the extreme, however, “Lokomotīve” was denied it both times.
