There has been talk for some time that it might be best to do away with all cash altogether and transact only in a cashless way. It would bring significant savings to the entire company and, above all, the state would have oversight of any payment, as everything would go through controlled central systems. Therefore, there would be no way that someone would have poured in, for example, the taxes they were supposed to pay.
You don’t save money
Of course, for these reasons too, there is a lot of resistance against the cash ban by those who want to be able to decide how they will pay. Arguments such as cash being largely freedom are thrown around. It’s true, if you withdraw money and then pay with it, no one will ever find out what exactly you bought. This is starting to be a big advantage at a time when the state heavily controls, for example, internet transactions or bazaar sales online.
At the central level, no one has yet decided to take such a step. However, there are certain swallows between banks. For example, the new bank Partners, which is entering the Czech market, will not allow cash to be deposited into the account. This is actually the first step towards its abolition. If you get a large amount of cash and have an account with this bank, you simply won’t be able to save the money. Apparently, it doesn’t bother anyone too much that the ability to handle money freely is one of the basic roles of every bank. But in this case, it seems that they will rather sell you various financial products and make the real work easier for themselves.
“The bank will be cashless, but people will be able to withdraw cash for free from all ATMs. Cash deposits are not needed as most people receive money into their account,” Marek Ditz, head of Partners Bank, said bluntly in an interview with the Aktuálné server.
They want to cancel everything
At the same time, this bank seems to have the impression that it knows what is best for its clients without specifically asking them. “Internet banking should be abolished,” continues the director bluntly, stating that it is through him that the greatest number of frauds occur. But it is not quite true, because it is more about various groups spoofing the bank’s website, which then looks like your bank’s internet banking. That’s a bit of a difference.

In any case, Partners Banka will build exclusively on a mobile application, which is said to be difficult to cheat. Considering the sophistication of the various swindlers, who try it on clients in many ways, it is hard to imagine that this would be any special obstacle for them. Rather, it will happen that the bank’s clients will be limited in their options.
