The first Arab astronaut to walk in space returns to the UAE and expresses his willingness to participate in the Chinese space station project

On September 18, local time, Sultan Al Neyadi, the first Arab astronaut to complete a spacewalk, returned to the United Arab Emirates on a special flight from Houston, the United States.

On the same day, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center held a welcome event and media conference for astronaut Sultan. At the press conference, when asked if he was interested in participating in the Chinese space station project, Sultan said, “We cherish every opportunity. If you ask any astronaut, you will get a definite answer. So, if you send me If China carries out a mission, I will definitely go.”

The 41-year-old Sultan launched into space on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket in early March this year, becoming the first Arab astronaut to carry out a six-month space mission.
