The first Apple Event of 2022 expected in the spring

Apple will host its first event of the year in early spring, in March or April. It is Mark Gurman who slips this information to us in his newsletter weekly. The journalist does not give the details of the programming but he mentions the release of the iPhone SE 3, a minor update to the iPhone SE to bring it 5G and the Apple A14 chip. Of course, this one little novelty would be insufficient to justify holding a special event: there will be other more ambitious announcements.

Tim Cook in April 2021

Last year, the first event of the year took place on April 20, 2021. The material announcements were numerous with the presentation of the iMac M1, the iPad Pro M1, the AirTags, the Apple TV 4K with Apple A12 chip as well as a new purple color for the iPhone 12. For this year, there could be two important novelties on the Mac side with the redesign of the iMac 27 “with M1 Pro and M1 Max chip and Mini screen -LED 120 Hz, and the redesign of the top-of-the-range Mac mini with the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips and a new design. Surprises cannot be ruled out but the rumors are rather calm at the moment.
