The first AIFA flight leaves for Villahermosa; “mission accomplished”: AMLO

Operations at the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) began this Monday, with the first flight which took off at 6:30 am in the direction of Villahermosa, Tabasco.

Since Sunday afternoon, the first arrival operation was carried out, of an Aeroméxico airline plane, with the purpose that at dawn on Monday it would be ready for takeoff with 89 passengers, reported the Secretary of National Defense, Luis Cresencio Sandoval .

In the morning conference from the AIFA facilitiesthe general explained that during the first day of operation there will be 20 air operationsbetween commercial flights, individuals and cargo operations.

“We will have four flights from Aeroméxico, six from Volaris, four from Viva Aerobus, and two from Conviasa,” he explained.

In addition, there will be two general aviation flights, from the United States, in private planes; as well as two cargo operations of the Incom company, which will arrive from Nuevo Laredo, Texas, and Saltillo, Coahuila.

In addition to this, the official pointed out that they will also be available six helicopters to provide the air taxi serviceto which President Andrés Manuel López Obrador made reference last week.

The first day of operations of the Airport in Santa Lucía will end between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., a period in which it will have served 2,022 passengers.
