Firefighters reported a fire in the back of the hotel from Karla Machová Street on Sunday around 11:30 p.m.

“The whistleblower reported a fire in the dustbin, from which the facade of the building started to burn and also a car parked in the immediate vicinity,” said Holomčík. According to him, the firefighters arrived at the scene after a few minutes, the flames were already spreading along the facade to the fourth floor.

“In the affected part of the building, window fillings cracked with a strong heat, especially in the lower floors. Eight guests and one hotel employee were evacuated from the building – all of them escaped unharmed, ”the spokesman added.

Professional firefighters from Beroun and volunteers from the villages of Chyňava and Králův Dvůr intervened. They located the fire before midnight, due to the strong smoke of the building on all floors, they used pressure fans for ventilation.
