The fire that broke out today shortly after 10:00 in low vegetation in the Dionysos area of Keratea, Attica, was brought under partial control. To put it out, 47 firefighters with two pedestrian units and 16 vehicles, volunteers, OTA water carriers were mobilized, while two helicopters were deployed from the air.
The competent authorities for the fire in Dionysos Kerateas proceeded to arrest and impose an administrative fine on an 87-year-old man.
In particular, as announced by the Fire Department, he was arrested today as part of the spontaneous procedure, by investigative officers of the P.Y. Markopoulou, resident, for negligently setting a fire in dry grass, within a plot of land, in violation of existing legislation, in the area of Dionysos Keratea, of the Municipality of Lavreotiki, and was imposed an administrative fine of 3,113 euros.
The relevant prosecuting authority was informed about the incident.
