Manufacturer of almost nine decades of winter tires, Nokian Tires proposes for the winter season 2021-2022 the new premium Snowproof car tire and its high-performance version Snowproof P, ideal for driving on roads covered with snow, ice and frost.

The characteristics of this tire were developed from Nokian together with former double Formula 1 world champion Mika Häkkinen, who was directly involved in the development and testing process in the most difficult winter conditions such as those in the “Land of a Thousand Lakes” ”.

For SUV owners, the Nordic manufacturer has also prepared a new tire, the Nokian WR SUV 4, which offers excellent performance even on a road covered with snow or ice.

Why winter tires?

You should know that winter tires have the property of remaining more elastic on the road in winter so that they offer the best possible braking and grip. Careful! A cheap and / or worn winter tire will not behave as well as a new one and will tend to harden at low temperatures.

It is also good to know that if you use in the summer winter tires, they will behave the other way around. Designed to work optimally at low temperatures, in the hot season they would harden and no longer ensure proper grip and good braking on a dry road.

Exertions in the field recommend that, since temperatures drop during the night below 7-8 degrees Celsius or even close to 0 degrees Celsius, drivers should go to vulcanization as soon as possible and install winter tires instead of summer.
