Roger Federer has made us enjoy his tennis during his 24-year career. With numerous titles, records and the excitement following his retirement, it’s hard to ignore the financial benefit the Swiss star derived from his career.

One might think that, after the curtain closed on his tennis career, the brands would begin to leave his figure behind. However, even the ‘Federer brand’ continues to give revenue. His current top contributor is Uniqlo clothing, which agreed in 2018 for the Swiss to wear his brand in exchange for $300 million for ten seasons.

The former tennis star’s breakthrough deal with Uniqlo came when he was 36. Federer will earn 10 million dollars per year until he turns 46. By signing that contract, Federer interrupted a 24-year relationship with Nike, a brand that sponsored him from 1994 to 2018. In addition to Uniqlo, Roger’s following sponsors after retirement are Rolex (eight million dollars a year), Barilla (also eight million a year), Moet & Chandon (another of the brands that pays eight million a year), Mercedes Benz (five million a year) and Lindt (four million). According to the magazine Forbes, the former Swiss tennis player accumulated 95 million dollars between September 2022 and August 2023. Other brands that contribute to Federer’s fortune are Oliver Peoples glasses and the ON shoe brand.

Putting all of his current sponsors together, the greatest tennis player of all time is approaching $100 million a year even after ending his professional career. For all the happiness he gave us on the circuit, we can say that Federer’s fortune is more than justified.
