The Australian Grand Prix in Formula 1 has been halted three laps from the end. The red flag went out because Dane Kevin Magnussen of Haas F1 drove off one of his tires and a lot of rubbish was deposited on the track in Melbourne.
The restart means that the race will still have an exciting conclusion. Max Verstappen was well in the lead until the incident and was on his way to his first ever victory in Australia, but the field is now coming together again.
Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes, who was almost 10 seconds behind the Dutchman, will restart from second place. Spaniard Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) is number 3 in the race.
