The film Old Men: Jiří Schmitzer and Ladislav Mrkvička also completed several stunt scenes during the filming

The story of the film is loosely inspired by real events from the turn of the millennium. The story introduces us to two former political prisoners who set out in a caravan across the country to track down and kill a communist prosecutor from the 1950s, who was not officially punished for his actions. The path to retribution is very difficult for both old men. “The enemy of our heroes is not so much the hated prosecutor, but rather the reality that stands between their intention to kill him and the fact of how to do it at their age and situation. A gesture of retribution, a call for justice that society has not heard, will be taken on its shoulders in the marvelous final journey of their lives by two old men, to whom no reasonable person can wish such a role. Instead of action heroes, we have old men who are many times limited – by their age and health status, ” the filmmakers specify Ondřej Provazník and Martin Dušek.

Although the central protagonists of the film are two gentlemen in old age, there are also a few stunts. “Almost all the difficult scenes were played by Mr. Mrkvička and Schmitzer themselves, except for those where it was really about life. Mr Schmitzer in particular likes physical challenges that he can overcome, and we are happy to accommodate him. The film thus gained in physicality and authenticity, “ betrayed Ondřej Provazník.

The filming took place in several places in the Czech Republic, in Prague, Sokolov, and the crew spent the most time around the village of Modlany.
