Studies took place last weekend Locomotive adventure family movies Christmas in the jungle international premiere in Italy. The film was completed at the end of 2019, but due to the limitations of Covid-19, it did not reach the screens in Latvia. The home premiere is scheduled for December.
The Giffon Festival was held for the 50th time this year, it is one of the largest and most important children’s film festivals. Every year it is visited by more than two thousand children from different countries, the total number of visitors in a small Italian town near Naples, sometimes reaching one hundred thousand visitors. The festival is visited by world-famous directors and actors who meet with small audiences to tell about their work. The event is also attended by producers, distributors and media representatives from all over the world – the festival plays an important role in the further distribution of films.

After such a long break, it was great to meet the audience again viewers’ response, our film will address children virtually anywhere on earth. “

Christmas in the jungle tells the story of ten – year – old Paul, whose family has moved to an exotic country, because his father is a geologist and works in gold mines. Living in a distant land proves to be a serious test of parental relationships, and as the holidays approach, Paula realizes that only the miracle of Christmas can save the family. But what if there is no winter? It turns out that Paul’s new friend Ahim has heard that Santa Claus is also found in the thickets of the jungle. The plan is in hand! However, children do not realize how dangerous and exciting adventures await them on the way: underground caves, jungle spirits, cannibals, unusual animals and much more …
Father is represented by Māris Olte, mother by Inga Alsiņa, older sister by Elizabete Liepa, determined ten-year-old Paula by Rebeka Šuksta. Indonesian Braiden Pablo Eskobar has taken on the role of her reliable companion and friend Ahima. The producer of the film and the author of the idea is Roberts Vinovskis, the author of the script is Lote Eglīte, the director of the film is Jāks Kilmi, the cameraman is Aigars Sērmukšs.
