The 15th ordinary session of the Conference of Heads of State of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (Cemac) is scheduled for March 17, 2023 in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

The Heads of State of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (Cemac) are summoned to Yaoundé on March 17 by Paul Biya, the President of Cameroon. During their meeting, many subjects will furnish the conference of heads of state. In particular the subjects which are the implementation of the Program of economic and financial reforms, the evolution of the process of rationalization of the Regional Economic Communities of Central Africa, the reform of the FCFA, the consequences of the war in Ukraine and the cryptocurrency on the economies of the sub-region, then appointments within certain CEMAC bodies and institutions.

Also, the leaders of several organs and institutions of CEMAC have indeed reached the end of their mandate. These include the president of CEMAC, a post held since March 2019 by President Paul Biya, for a one-year term; six members of the CEMAC government, in office since February 2017 for a 5-year term; the President of the Central African Financial Market Supervisory Commission (Cosumaf), in office since December 2017 for a five-year term.
