Senior Advisor to the Office of the Presidential Staff Andi Widjajanto President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will be sworn in as Governor of Lemhannas. The inauguration will be held tomorrow.
“We have received the invitation for the inauguration of the new Lemhannas Governor tomorrow at the Palace,” said Acting Governor of Lemhanas, Marshal Wieko Syofyan, to reporters, Sunday (20/2/2022).
Andi is an alumnus of FISIP UI. He is known as a defense observer.
He has received his master’s education at the Industrial College of Armed Forces, Washington DC, United States. He was also invited several times to become a member of the Task Force for the Center for Regional Government Studies (LOGOS) and the Task Force for Defense White Paper SESKO TNI AD.
Andi was once a member of Jokowi’s Timses in the 2014 election. The team was appointed directly by the PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri and was approved by Jokowi. Andi’s input succeeded in making Jokowi successful until he was elected president.
The son of a senior PDIP politician Theo Syafei then occupied a strategic position, namely Deputy Chief of Staff of the Transitional Office in charge of defense, security and Jokowi-JK cabinet structure issues.
In October 2014, Jokowi then appointed Andi Widjajanto as cabinet secretary. He held that position for only one year.
In 2015, Andi was replaced. He was also reshuffled along with 5 other ministers, namely Tedjo Edhy from the position of Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Sofyan Djalil from the position of Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Andrinof Chaniago from the position of Head of Bappenas, Rachmat Gobel from the position of Minister of Trade, and Indroyono Soesilo from the position of Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs.
In 2020 Andi Widjadjanto became a senior adviser to the Presidential Staff Office (KSP). Andi was appointed as a senior advisor as of February 4, 2020. He has held this position until now.
