A hard cross of trills occurred this Sunday between Senator Armando Benedetti and the councilor of Bogotá for the Green party, Julián Rodríguez Sastoque, who assured that Benedetti spent more than one billion in his last campaign for the Senate and the companies of his family exceed the 55 billion pesos in assets.

This was warned by the youngest councilor in the capital (he was 23 years old in 2019 when he was elected) in a trill: “The companies led by the Benedetti family exceed 55 billion pesos in assets according to @cuestion_p. Along with the text he published two photographs. In one there is a Benedetti trill that says: “Everything that is good for the rich is never good for the poor. And if Petro is not good for the rich, it means that it is good for the poor.” And the other is a table with the asset values of what would be the senator’s family companies.

After that, the parliamentarian launched a proposal to the councilman: “If what you are asserting is true, I will resign tomorrow from the Senate and if it is a lie, you will resign tomorrow from your seat.”

After that, Sastoque responded that it seemed unfortunate that the senator is “inviting challenges which reality show.”
