ENROLLED WITH RENTAL – The preparation of the Fiat Tipo per i Carabinieri, in addition to the classic institutional livery of the two-tone body (with blue and white bodywork), the pair of flashing lights on the roof, the LEDs on the grille and the two-tone siren. The fleet will consist of 1,300 units and will be powered by the 1.6-liter, 130 HP 4-cylinder diesel, while the supply has been stipulated with a rental formula.
EQUIPMENT FOR THE SERVICE – The Fiat Tipo with this dedicated set-up, it acquires a series of accessories useful for the personnel of the weapon: starting from the communication systems, the cockpit includes a predisposition for the radio (the dedicated communication line between the central and the military) and an additional loudspeaker under the dashboard. The central tunnel, on the other hand, is equipped with backlit buttons, while an additional specific light is mounted on the front pillar to read maps and documents during night services. Under the seats there are two bivalent weapon holders, as well as folder holders, two torches, a tablet holder net, two tonfa holders (a stick similar to a truncheon) and two shovel holders.
EQUIPPED IN MIRAFIORI – Among the accessories, the Fiat Tipo for the Carabinieri it also includes a 2 kg fire extinguisher, first aid kit, front and rear rubber mats with buttons on the front, removable covers for the rear seats. While the trunk compartment houses a sliding desk top, a specific ceiling light and a 12V power socket. Most of the components of the Fiat Tipo were developed (according to the Arma’s requests) and finalized in the Mirafiori plant south of Turin.
