Previously, Tallinn Music Week was postponed from early May to June, but it has now been decided that the festival will take place from September 29 to October 3.
“We decided to move the festival from June to autumn, when travel restrictions are expected, so that professionals from the European music industry and as many interesting artists as possible can take part in our event,” explained Pertel Sosalu, the festival’s organizer.
Additional applications have been announced for participants until the end of April, but all applications submitted so far are valid. Up to 150 artists will be able to participate in the festival program, who will be announced in May.
On June 11, the Estonian Music Market Day of the festival will be held at Tallinn’s von Kral Theater, the main theme of which will be related to the recovery and rebirth of music, culture and related industries after the crisis caused by the pandemic.
The festival program will be in three parts and will include music events in various clubs and concert halls, a music industry conference and family events for each day.
Tallinn Music Week, which has been taking place since 2009, is an annual city festival and music industry conference that brings together local and global talent and industry experts.
