Festival “Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala-2019”: guests and musicians of the second day

“Jūrmala is our beloved city, which is always with us and supports us in everything,” said Laima Vaikule, the festival’s founder, at the opening of the concert. The second director of the concert, Intars Busulis, emphasized that the city and the festival are inextricably linked, and it is not for nothing that the name “Jūrmala” is in the name “Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala”.
The introductory song of the festival – the hit “Randeva” this evening was helped to sing by Laima and Intars by the vocal group “Framest”, which also virtuoso performed the Neapolitan composition “O sole mio”.
Samantina Tina and David Kalandija surprised the audience with the song “I want you back”, while Aija Andrejeva together with Uzari from Belarus sang a song, according to Busulis, “in the language of love – that is, Belarusian”, and its name was – “Новае кiно” .
The concert also featured the popular Ukrainian singer Alexander Panaiotov, as well as, according to Busulis, “elegant duo with luxurious energy” Alona Sviridova and Sergei Mazayev, and then Laima Vaikule closed the first part of the concert with the “Freedom Ballet” choreographic performance “Black Orchid”.
Vaikule and Busulis started the second part with the song “Jūrmala”, once again commemorating the significant anniversary of the beloved city Jūrmala.
The second part featured twins Anna Maria, the band Vougal, pop star Julia Kovalchuk, showman Alexei Chumakov, as well as Georgian diva Nino Katamadze. The song “Suļiko” performed by Katamadze and jazzed was received by the audience with shouts of enthusiasm and long applause. “Dear Lucky, thank you for the holiday,” Nino said, stepping off the stage.
Andris Ērglis, whom Busulis described as “the most popular Latvian singer”, sang his “Ripoja akmens”.
Russian pop superstar Stass Mikhailov, on the other hand, delighted with his hits, as well as sang the song “If You Are with Me” “Если ты со мной” together with Laima Vaikulis.
Then followed the final of “Jūrmala Days”, again inviting all the stage artists of that evening to the stage in Dzintari Concert Hall, and everyone sang the song “Randeva” together.
