Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Head of the Minang Student Youth Association (PPMM) David revealed that his party had a tough discussion with investigators police regarding reports to the Chairperson of the PDIP-P DPP, Mrs. Maharani.
However, the Criminal Investigation Agency (Criminal Investigation Unit) The Police finally rejected the report on the grounds that it did not fulfill the elements.
“Our arrival was well received, we had a very tough discussion. In conclusion, our report did not meet the elements,” said David at the National Police Headquarters, Friday (4/9).
David admitted that he was not disappointed with the rejection of the report. Because, according to him, this is the authority of the police.
“As citizens, our job is only to report. If it is processed or not, that is the right of the police,” he said.
Meanwhile, PPMM’s attorney, Khoirul Amin, stated that during the discussion that lasted quite a long time, the investigators questioned the evidence included in the report.
One of the proofs brought is screenshot or screenshots of online media coverage.
According to investigators, said Khoirul, the evidence was a journalistic product, so it could not be accepted.
“We discussed at length, the National Police Headquarters had an MOU with the Press Council, which means that a journalist product must have a recommendation from the Press Council,” said Khoirul.
CNNIndonesia.com I tried to contact the Head of Public Relations of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono regarding the rejection of this report, but it has not been responded to.
Previously, PPMM reported the Chairperson of the PDI-P DPP, Puan Maharani to Bareskrim Polri. The report is related to Puan’s statement that she hopes that West Sumatra will become a province that supports the Pancasila state.
Puan’s statement was conveyed when announcing the candidate pairs for regional head candidates supported by PDIP in the 2020 Regional Elections.
“For West Sumatra Province, recommendations are given to Ir. Mulyadi and Drs. H. Ali Mukhni. Freedom! Hopefully West Sumatra will become a province that does support the Pancasila state,” said Puan in an event held virtually by the PDIP DPP, Wednesday (2/9 ).
