The amount of user donations for the creation of a large-scale space simulator Star Citizen from the studio Cloud Imperium Games exceeded the mark of $550 million. The number of registered depositors reached 4.4 million.
Recall that at the end of September last year, the developers of the game reported about $ 500 million in collected donations. In just five months, caring contributors donated another $50 million to Chris Roberts’ studio.
Cloud Imperium Games is currently busy testing the alpha version of 3.18, but there is also information about the planned content for the 3.19 update. On recent stream talked about the processing of the ore mining system, the emergence of new materials (copper, aluminum, iron, and others) and unique methods for their extraction.
As of today, Star Citizen doesn’t even have a rough release date — the same goes for its massive story spin-off, Squadron 42.
